From One Cat to a Cattery: A Journey of Love Across Continents

Our story began in 2016, when we met a tiny, two-week-old kitten outside a convenience store. His name was Minya, and he became the soul of our home — our adventure buddy, stress reliever, and the spark that lit our passion for cats. Though he wasn't a purebred, Minya showed us that with love and care, any cat can become extraordinary.

After his sudden passing, we adopted more cats — each one special, each one loved. One of them, Rainbow, was a Persian kitten we unknowingly got from a breeding mill. He arrived sick, and the emotional toll of that experience opened our eyes to the importance of ethical, responsible breeding.

That moment marked the beginning of Purrfect Meow Cattery, our WCF-registered cattery in the Philippines, where we raised healthy, doll-faced Persians and British Shorthairs from 2018 to 2022. We were proud to offer families beautiful, well-socialized kittens raised with compassion and care.

In 2022, life brought us to the United States — a new country, a new home, and a new chapter. As a military family, we’ve faced the quiet loneliness that comes with deployments and distance. During those times, our cats weren’t just pets — they were companions, family, and emotional anchors.

Even before officially starting this new journey, our love for cats never stopped. At our old apartment, we spent years feeding and caring for strays in the neighborhood. Over time, those cats became part of our lives — and when we moved, we brought them all home with us. They weren’t part of any breeding program, but they were part of our story. That experience reminded us why we do this: because every cat deserves a safe, loving home.

Meet Our Rescues

And as a way of giving back to the community — and for all the luck that cats have brought into our lives — we’ve been volunteering at the Chula Vista Animal Shelter since 2022. We specialize in bottle-feeding orphaned kittens, nurturing them for two months (or until they’re ready for adoption), and helping them grow strong enough to find their forever homes. It’s a small act of service that fills our hearts and keeps us grounded in the importance of rescue.

Meet Our Fosters

Eventually, we reunited with our remaining cats from the Philippines, finally bringing our family full circle. But something in us still wanted to give more — to continue this journey in a deeper way.

That’s why, in 2025, we began a new chapter with HausWhiskerfell — our cattery in California, now proudly TICA-registered, with CFA registration currently in progress. Our focus is now on the magnificent Maine Coon, a breed known for its size, grace, and gentle nature. We are committed to raising kittens that bring warmth, stability, and joy to the homes and hearts that need them most.
